Notice of the designation of three new conservation areas at Stanton by Dale and Ockbrook (2) Derbyshire
NOTICE is hereby given of three new conservation areas in the above listed villages.
In Stanton by Dale the area includes the whole of the built up part of the village except areas of newer development in Flake Lane, The Orchard, Quarry Hill, Park Close, Bowling Close and numbers 37 and 45-49 Dale Road; together with triangular field to the north of St Michael’s Church, the old quarry and village pound on Quarry Hill and ‘The Park’ to the south of Hall Farm. Where the boundary follows for example a hedge or wall, these features are always included in the proposed area.
In Ockbrook there are two conservation areas one at the Moravian Settlement and the other in the centre of the village. The Moravian settlement, Ockbrook Junior School and Ockbrook Grange are all contained in one area and the Ockbrook and Borrowash Cricket Club, Queen’s Head Inn, 1A-16 Bakehouse Lane, 1-9 (odd numbers) Flood Street, properties on the east side of Flood Street, 298 Victoria Avenue, all New Street, properties on the west of Church Street from and including the White Swan Public House to and including Ockbrook House, the properties on the east side of Church Street and including All Saints Church up to and including 74 Church Street and the three bungalows Bryher, Denton and Glenlyn are all included within the other conservation area.
A copy of the plans showing the boundaries of these may be viewed at The Hall, Derby Road, Long Eaton or the Town Hall, Market Place, Ilkeston, Monday to Thursday (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) and Friday (9 a.m.-4.30 p.m.).
