Shardlow Rural District Council: District Water Supplies Tender

SHARDLOW RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL

DISTRICT WATER SUPPLIES

THE above named Council invite TENDERS from responsible Contractors for the Supply and Laying of about 3,830 yards of 8 inch diameter concrete lined iron pipes with screwed gland joints, between Draycott, Breaston and Thurston, and about 5,130 yards of 5in. diameter iron pipes with screwed gland joints between Dale Moor, Stanton-by-Dale and Sandiacre, with all valves, fittings, etc.

Plans, Specification and Quantities can be seen at the offices of the Council’s Consulting Engineers, Messrs. Elliott and Brown, Stanley House, Pelham-road, Nottingham, and a copy of the Bill of Quantities can be obtained on deposit of Three Guineas by cheque payable to the Shardlow R.D.C. which will be returned on receipt of a bona fide tender, not afterwards withdrawn and return of all documents loaned to Contractor for the purpose of making up his tender.

Tenders endorsed “Water Supply” in a plain sealed envelope to be delivered to the undersigned not later than 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 1946.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
