Stanton-by-Dale Ex-service Men’s Decision

Ex-service men of Stanton-by-Dale have decided to form a branch of the British Legion.

A meeting was held at the Stanhope Arms, and Mr. C. R. Crompton presided, supported by Captain F. Cornelius, Major F. G. Robinson, Messrs. P. S. Riley and G. A. Wright, president, secretary, and treasurer of the Ilkeston branch.

All the men present enrolled as members, and the following officials were appointed: Mr. C. R. Crompton, president; Captain F. Cornelius, chairman; Mr. William Fryer, honorary secretary; Mr. J. C. Storr, honorary treasurer; with Messrs. Sadler, F. Pegge, W. Barber, S. Smith, O. Blount, J. Barber, and W. Aitken as committee.
