New Derbyshire Iron and Coal Company

NEW DERBYSHIRE IRON AND COAL COMPANY.—A new company has been formed to acquire the business, stock-in-trade, and other property, belonging to Messrs. J. G. Crompton, G. Crompton, C. E. Newton, and J. T. Barber, trading as the “Stanton Iron Works Company.” The property consists of the Stanton Iron Works and the Dale Colliery at Stanton-by-Dale and Ilkeston; the Teversall Collieries, Nottingham; the Pleasley Colliery, Derby; the Desborough Iron Works, Northampton. The purchase consideration is £550,000. The company has been registered with a capital of £600,000 in £100 shares, and the subscribers are:—J. G. Crompton, Derby, 1000 shares; G. Crompton, Chesterfield, 1000; N. C. Curzon, Lockington, Derby, 50; B. Lucas, Chesterfield, 50; J. T. Barber, Spondon, near Derby, 50; C. E. Newton, Derby, 100; J. Barber, Derby, 100.
