HEANOR BREWSTER SESSIONS.

**LICENSED VICTAULLERS’ LICENSES.β**The whole of the licenses held by licensed victuallers in the Smalley Petty Sessional Division being again applied for were granted. The division includes the following parishes or townships, viz.:βCodnor and Loscoe, Heanor, Horsley, Horsley Woodhouse, Ilkeston, Mapperley, Morley, Ripley, Pentrich, Sandiacre, Shipley, Smalley, Stanley and Stanton-by-Dale. Edward Gregory, of the Lord Byron Inn, and Josh. Wibberley, of the Jessop’s Arms Inn, both of Codnor, had been convicted during the year, the former for adulteration of beer, and the latter for permitting drunkenness in his house. The fine in the latter case being 40s., exclusive of costs. Mr. J. Barber, of the Bridge Inn, Ilkeston, and George Clarke, of Ripley, had also been convicted, the former for selling adulterated beer, and the latter was fined 50s. for selling during prohibited hours. These were cautioned against offending again.
**BEERHOUSE LICENSES.β**The whole of the beerhouse licenses were renewed.βWm. Kirkman, of the Coach and Horses, at Loscoe, having been fined 10s. 6d. for allowing drunkenness on his premises, was cautioned.
**APPLICATIONS.β**Mrs. Plackett, of the Stanhope Arms, Dale Abbey, applied for a six days’ license, which was granted.βMr. Allsop, of Morley, made a similar application which was granted.βMrs. Lydia Fletcher, of the Horse and Jockey beerhouse, Ripley, applied for a spirit license to sell for consumption on the premises. Mr. HEXTALL, Derby, appeared for the applicant, but it was refused.βMr. B. Flinders, of the White Cow beerhouse, Ilkeston, applied for a license to sell spirits to be consumed on the premises. Mr. THURMAN, Ilkeston, appeared for the applicant, but it was refused.βA similar application was made by Mr. E. Waters, of the Gladstone Inn beerhouse, but it was refused.
