Threatening Language: Dale Abbey Contractor and Stanton Underviewer

THREATENING LANGUAGE.—Alfred Fancourt, contractor, Dale Abbey, was charged by Joseph Millersley, underviewer, Stanton, with having on the 6th ult. threatened to knock off his head at Dale Abbey. Defendant was a contractor at the Stanton Ironworks, and had been discharged for being drunk and neglecting his work. Complainant is underviewer at the same works, and was blamed by defendant for his being discharged, and threatened by him.—Ordered to enter into his own recognizance in the sum of £20, to keep the peace for six months.
